Oh sweet, this thing is working.
Welcome to the nth (n>5) iteration of my website, now featuring a blog. I’ve had a decent amount of experience redesigning this to not only be updated, but easy to update in the future. I feel like doing most of it in Markdown with a nice, thin coat of paint is a good solution, given that it reduces the starting friction of writing here and encourages me to do it more often.
I also want to keep the writing wheels in my head greased, since my academic writing has seen an uptick and I want to reduce the frequency of me stalling out mid-thought as I try to get something down on the page. Is this the optimal solution, or will it just lead to faster burnout given the added writing in my time awake? I guess I’ll find out in the coming weeks.
I have no idea what I’m going to write about here. Probably thoughts I have while working on software projects, but I’ll make an effort to take notes when I have ideas so I’ll have a wider variety of things to discuss. I’m also planning on setting up a Bookmarks section to link to external articles and sites I find interesting, partially to share my own interests and also to motivate myself to find new things I might enjoy.
